Some changes have been made to the online services provided by the library due to the introduction of the new library system Alma.

Notifications and reminders will be sent primarily only via e-mail. Printed letters include reminders and bills for unreturned items (overdue for at least 42 days).

Login to Arsca

Users not affiliated with Uniarts Helsinki can log in to Arsca with their e-mail address or Finna ID. Please note that your user record must have an e-mail address, because without it you can’t login to Arsca to renew loans or make reservations. Uniarts students and staff log in to Arsca with their Uniarts username. Don’t forget to check and update your personal information.

Loan periods and renewals

In the new library system loan renewals are determined by the maximum number of loan days, not the number of renewals. You can renew 14 day loans for 180 days and 28 day loans for 730 days. For example, you can renew a 28 day loan for two years even on a a daily basis if you want to, and the due date always moves 28 days forward from that day. A loan can’t be renewed if there are active requests made by other users, or if you lose your borrowing privileges.
