Restrictions in Helsinki libraries for December
Uniarts Helsinki follows the instructions issued by the authorities and introduces new restrictions and guidelines. Library services in Helsinki will be available to a limited extent as a self-service library between 1 and 18 December. Only Uniarts Helsinki students, researchers and staff members can use the library. Access is possible only with a personal access key. The restrictions on the use of libraries do not concern Uniarts Helsinki’s library unit in Kuopio.
Library customers can collect the material they need independently from the shelves or by making a reservation, in which case they can pick up their material from the reservation shelf. The material will be loaned using the self-service lending machine. If you forgot your library card home, you may use the mobile library card. Read the instructions for the use of the mobile library card. Computers may be used for quick printing and scanning.
The service desks and listening rooms will be closed and library is open only for quick visit. Customer service is available by phone or email. Check the opening hours from the Arsca online library. You may pay library fees only online. Read the instructions for online payment.
We changed the due date for loans to February 10, 2021, but please notice that loans which had 19th October or a prior date as the due date do not have a new due date. Customers without access key to the facilities may return their loans to the book drop box of the Music Centre during the opening hours of the Centre until 2nd December. The Music Centre will be closed starting from 3th December. The book drop box is near the library entrance on the side of the Music Centre info desk.
The library will be closed in Helsinki and Kuopio between 19th December 2020 and 10th January 2021. Inter-library loan service for Uniarts users is unavailable until February 1.
