Library’s opening hours in summer 2026

Kuopio Library is closed 30.5.-9.8., Helsinki campus libraries 19.6.-2.8.

The Uniarts Helsinki Library will soon close its doors for the summer holidays. The Campus Libraries in Helsinki are closed June 19 to August 2 and will open their doors as self-service libraries August 3. Customer service opens August 10. Kuopio Library is closed as of May 30 and opens again on August 10.

In both Töölö and Sörnäinen, the self-service library is open in August according to the opening hours of the premises. The opening hours of the self-service library in August will be announced later.

There are changes in the opening hours of all library units before the summer closure so make sure check the opening hours on Arsca front page check the opening hours on Arsca front page(opens in new window) before visiting the library.

Please make sure that you borrow the material you need during the summer well in advance. Loans do not expire during the summer closure.

As an employee or student of Uniarts Helsinki, you can use your Uniarts credentials to access the library’s e-materials the library’s e-materials(opens in new window), such as e-books and magazines, anywhere in the world. If you have received an invoice from the library for unreturned loans, do not pay the invoice if you still have the materials, but return them as soon as possible after opening by August at the latest. You can also return the materials to the library by post. In this case, the materials will remain under your responsibility until they have been marked as returned by the library. If the loans are lost, you can pay the invoice, but the loans will not be removed from your data until August. Unpaid invoices will not be transferred to collection during the summer closure.
