Library’s opening hours in summer 2023

Summer break begins on June 1st at Kuopio Library and on June 23rd at Helsinki Campus Libraries

The Uniarts Helsinki Library will soon close its doors for the summer holidays. Kuopio Library is closed as of June 1st and the Campus Libraries in Helsinki close their doors on June 23th. All library units will open as self-service libraries on August 7th and customer service opens on August 14th.

You can check the opening hours on Arsca homepage but you’ll also find all the exceptions in opening hours in May here.

Please make sure that you borrow the material you need during the summer well in advance. Loans do not expire during the summer closure.  

As an employee or student of Uniarts Helsinki, you can use your Uniarts credentials to access the library’s e-materials, such as e-books and magazines, anywhere in the world. The library guide provides information on using e-materials.    If you have received an invoice from the library for unreturned loans, do not pay the invoice if you still have the materials, but return them as soon as possible after opening by August at the latest. You can also return the materials to the library by post. In this case, the materials will remain under your responsibility until they have been marked as returned by the library. Our postal address can be found on the library website. If the loans are lost, you can pay the invoice, but the loans will not be removed from your data until August. Unpaid invoices will not be transferred to collection during the summer closure.

NB! self-service library in Kuopio Library is not open on Saturdays in August.
