January opening hours and services
Self-service library continues after holidays in January. Kuopio library customer service is available from January 18.
Updated January 12, 2021: added information about the self-service library, which is accessible only to Uniarts students and staff.
Library services in Helsinki will be available to a limited extent as a self-service library in January 11–31. The self-service library is accessible only to Uniarts Helsinki students, researchers and staff members with a personal access key.
The restrictions on the use of libraries do not concern Uniarts Helsinki’s library unit in Kuopio. Customer service in Kuopio opens in January 18, and is available from Mondays to Thursdays between 12–14. See Kuopio library’s self-service and opening hours.
All libraries are closed during holidays from December 19, 2020, to January 10, 2021.
We changed the due date for loans to February 10, 2021, but please notice that loans that expired 19th of October or before, do not have a new due date. The latest pick-up date for reservations have been moved to February 12, 2021.
Library users can collect the material they need independently from the shelves or by making a reservation, in which case they can pick up their material from the reservation shelf. The material will be loaned using the self-service lending machine. If you forgot your library card home, you may use the mobile library card. Read the instructions for the use of the mobile library card. New student, contact the library if you need a library card in January.
Interlibrary loan service for Uniarts users will continue in February 1, 2021.
Computers may be used for quick printing and scanning. Electronic materials are available in Arsca, and with your Uniarts account you have access to all electronic collections 24/7.
