The subscription includes Open Access publishing

A person reads an e-book.

Taylor & Francis e-journals (Taylor & Francis Online) are now available to University of the Arts Helsinki students and staff until the end of 2027. There are hundreds of peer-reviewed scientific journals and millions of full-text articles covering both classical research topics as well as the latest, critical and multidisciplinary openings.

Two extensive e-journal packages

Access is available in two separate e-journal packages with journals from three well-known publishers: Taylor & Francis, Routledge and Dove Medical Press.

The Social Sciences & Humanities (SSH) package contains more than 1,400 journals.

The Science & Technology (S&T) package contains nearly 500 journals.

Material easily accessible through Arsca

All materials in the T&F journal packages are available through Arsca; the journals can be found in the “library collections” search and the articles published in them can be found through the “international e-materials” search. The materials can be accessed with Uniarts credentials. You can also find and access the materials from the library Databases and e-resources list, or directly through this link: Taylor & Francis Online.

The subscription also includes Open Access publishing

The 2025–2026 FinELib agreement with Taylor & Francis also covers Open Access publishing in journals included in these journal packages.

Until the end of 2026, researchers at the University of the Arts Helsinki have the right to publish openly and without separate open access fees (APCs) in Taylor & Francis (hybrid) journals included in these packages. However, the publishing quota is limited and shared by the organisations that have participated in the FinELib subscription, which means that the quota may run out towards the end of the year. You can check the current situation at the library.

See FinELib’s instructions to the corresponding author: https://finelib.fi/open-access-publishing-in-taylor-francis-journals/.
