New opening hours in Töölö and Sörnäinen Campus Libraries
Changes in the opening hours of the Helsinki campuses will affect the opening hours of the library from the beginning of August.
The opening hours of the University of the Arts Helsinki campuses will change from the beginning of August. The changes also affect the opening hours of the Töölö and Sörnäinen campus libraries. After the summer closure 20.6.–3.8., the campus libraries will serve with exceptional summer opening hours until 24.8. New, changed opening hours take effect 25.8.
The self-service time of the Sörnäinen campus library will decrease with the changes. On weekdays, the self-service library will be open from 8.30 am to 3 pm, on Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm and on Sundays the library will be closed.
The Töölö Campus Library will be open on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. as before, but from 4 p.m. onwards, access to the library will take place through the main lobby of the Musiikkitalo. The route runs from the main lobby of the Musiikkitalo to the lobby of the Sibelius Academy and from there down the stairs to the library premises. On Saturdays, the self-service library is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and customer service is open from 12 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also on Saturdays, the library can be accessed through the main lobby.
There are changes in the opening hours of all library units even before the summer closure, so check the up-to-date opening hours on the Arsca front page before visiting the library.
Please make sure that you borrow the material you need during the summer well in advance. Loans do not expire during the summer closure.
As an employee or student of Uniarts Helsinki, you can use your Uniarts credentials to access the library’s e-materials, such as e-books and magazines, anywhere in the world. The library guide provides information on using e-materials.
If you have received an invoice from the library for unreturned loans, do not pay the invoice if you still have the materials, but return them as soon as possible after opening by August at the latest. You can also return the materials to the library by post. In this case, the materials will remain under your responsibility until they have been marked as returned by the library. Our postal address can be found on the library website. If the loans are lost, you can pay the invoice, but the loans will not be removed from your data until August. Unpaid invoices will not be transferred to collection during the summer closure.
